It is important for us to seek to balance our daily lives and organize priorities in such a way that all of our work are punctuated with dhikr Allah; it can be done if try our best to be diligent in performing our religious duties on time to the best of our ability and means. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “As for what I have forbidden you refrain from them completely; but as for what I have enjoined on you, do of it as much as you can.” Allah also said, “Be conscious of Allah as best as you can”
So consider how best you can organize your schedule in such a way that you can partake of the blessings of the month. You may also sacrifice some of those activities which can be postponed; for the opportunity of the blessed month may not be repeated. It would also be an excellent idea if you can take time off during the last few days in Ramadan to devote yourself to extra devotions.
If you are unable to do so, you can still avail yourself of the blessings by doing whatever you are able to do in your given situation. Allah says
"God does not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: in his favor shall be whatever good he does, and against him whatever evil he does.” (Qur’an: 2: 286). For further details, see the answer to the question # 1281, posted above.
