Is it permissible for a boy to kiss his fiancé after paying dowry but before the marriage consummation?

Question number: 1270
Date posted: 2008-09-24

Answer:

If the marriage has been solemnized (to state differently, marriage contract has been finalized), then, for practical intents and purposes, they are considered husband and wife, and therefore, there is no doubt they are lawful for one another; but they should always guard themselves against indecency and seek to guard against intimate conjugal relations in public.
