When do I stop eating suhur (pre-dawn meal) in the month of Ramadan?

Question number: 1268
Date posted: 2008-09-24

Answer:

The cut off point for stopping eating is precise staring of time of fajr. Having said this, however, I should also point out that ideally one should stop eating ten minutes earlier—if they can afford to. And thus engage in dhikr, du’a, reading the Qur’an, while waiting for fajr salah. For details see the answer to the question#147.
